SPAMAST Strengthens Workforce Through Oath-Taking of Promoted and Newly Hired Personnel

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology held its Oath-Taking Ceremony on April 14, 2026, at the SPAMAST Lecture Hall, presided by the College President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, formally recognizing the promotion of key faculty and administrative personnel while welcoming a new cohort of educators and staff. The event, which commenced at 8:00 a.m., underscored the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, institutional growth, and effective public service. Promoted faculty members included Jessa May D. Marquez, MS, now Assistant Professor I in Fisheries, and Eldum L. Limao, MS, elevated to Instructor III in Horticulture. In the administrative sector, Hazel Kaye Q. Malda, CPA, advanced to Accountant II, while Jim Paul B. Roble, LPT, assumed the role of Budget Officer I, reflecting a strategic strengthening of the institution’s operational and financial management.

The ceremony also marked the formal induction of newly hired faculty members across various academic institutes. Among them were Jaymar C. Reponte, MA, LPT, for Physical Education; John Denver B. Abiador, L.Agr., for Entomology; Engr. Jeffrey G. Garrido for Information Technology; and Ms. Shelly Heather D. Josol for Public Administration. Their appointments signal SPAMAST’s continued investment in multidisciplinary instruction and innovation-driven education. Complementing these academic additions, the institution also welcomed Loren U. Banayag, L.Agr., as Administrative Officer II under the Office of Quality Assurance, and Mr. Efren G. Silva as Security Guard II under the Security Services Office, reinforcing both governance systems and campus safety mechanisms.
