SPAMAST Conducts Virtual Stakeholders’ Consultation on the Review of Administrative and IGP Manuals

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) successfully conducted a Virtual Stakeholders’ Consultation on the Review of the Administrative and Income Generating Project (IGP) Manuals on June 16, 2026. The activity gathered key stakeholders to participate in the review and enhancement of institutional policies and operational guidelines, ensuring that the manuals remain responsive, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the institution and its stakeholders.

An opening message was delivered by Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who emphasized the importance of stakeholder engagement in strengthening institutional governance and promoting transparency in policy formulation.

The consultation proper featured the Presentation of the Administrative Manual and Open Forum led by Dr. Janet R. Octura, Vice President for Administration and Finance. During the session, participants were provided with an overview of the proposed revisions and were encouraged to share insights, recommendations, and concerns to further improve the administrative policies of the institution.

Following this, Dr. Elenito P. Bugawisan, Director for Auxiliary Services Office, presented the IGP Manual and facilitated an open forum. Stakeholders actively participated in discussions regarding the management, sustainability, and operational procedures of SPAMAST’s income-generating projects, contributing valuable feedback for the enhancement of the manual.

The consultation concluded with a wrap-up session and closing message delivered by Dr. Janet R. Octura, who expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and commitment to supporting SPAMAST’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Through the conduct of this consultation, SPAMAST reinforced its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by promoting transparency, accountability, and participatory decision-making processes. The activity also contributed to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the active engagement of stakeholders in institutional development, fostering collaboration and shared responsibility in achieving quality governance and sustainable growth within the institution.
