In a strategic move to expand its academic and research network, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia accompanied by Dr. Edelyn S. Albiso (VP-RIDE), Dr. Grace D. Buencillo (Director for Research), and Dr. Arneda Jean Gonzales (Director for Internationalization and External Linkages), actively participated in the International Conference on Science, Technology, and AI Applications (ICSTAA 2025) held at Marinduque State University on September 17-18, 2025. The conference served as a key platform for SPAMAST to build on existing collaborations and establish new academic linkages.
The college’s proactive approach to collaboration is exemplified by forging partnerships and signing of MOUs with institutions namely Marinduque State University, Siquijor State College, De La Salle Dasmariñas, Cebu Technological University, and Saigon Business School in Vietnam on September 17, 2025. These alliances aim to facilitate key collaborative activities, including the conduct of joint research and extension projects, lectures, symposia, and capacity-building programs, as well as the exchange of academic information and materials.
Through these valuable connections, SPAMAST is not only enriching its own academic programs but also contributing to the broader development of a robust and interconnected higher education landscape. The institution’s commitment to building a diverse network of partners reflects its dedication to preparing students for a globally competitive environment.
