SPAMAST Welcomes Davao Christian College for BTLED Benchmarking Visit

In a shared pursuit of academic excellence and instructional innovation, Davao Christian College (DCC) conducted a benchmarking visit to Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) on April 7, 2026, focusing on the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) Program.

The visiting delegation from DCC was warmly received by the SPAMAST’s Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Janet R. Octura, alongside key academic officials including Director for Instruction, Dr. Fe T. Canoy, Institute of Teacher Education Dean, Dr. Aldwin T. Miranda, Professional and Graduate Studies Dean, Dr. Karen E. Cabalquinto, and BTLEd Program Head, Prof. Elcir Doanne Escalante. They were joined by faculty members, Prof. Ariel M. Larobis, Ms. Angelica Dalina, and Ms. Jessa Bella Mater.

Teh benchmarking activity commenced with an opening program that formally introduced the delagtes from FCC, followed by a presentation of SPAMAST’s BTLEd Faculty and academic structure. The session serves as a platform for knowledge exchangem highlighting best practices, curriculum design, and instructional strategies in delivering quality teacher education.

A guided tour of SPAMAST’s laboratories and learning facilities followed, allowing the DCC delegation to observe firsthand the institution’s resources and innovations in supporting both technology and livelihood education. The visit concluded with a closing program that reaffirmed both institution;s commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and the advancement of education.

This benchmarking initiative underscores the importnace of institutional partnerships in strengthening academic programs and ensuring responsive, future-ready education. It also refkects a shared dedication to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering a culture of excellence through collaboration and shared learning.
