A ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the YAKAPP Extension Project, “Yamang Tao at Kaunlaran, Pamilya ang Paraan”, was successfully held at the Audio-Visual Room of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), Malita Campus on April 30,2025.
The YAKAPP Extension Project aims to enrich and empower families towards building resilient and sustainable family and community life. It is implemented under the Institute of Human Service, headed by their Dean, Dr. Jonel Mark Sarno, and the Extension Project leader, Prof. Imelda T. Lauron.
The event brought together key SPAMAST officials, Dr. Edelyn S. Albiso, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Grace D. Buencillo, Director for Research, Development, and Innovation, and representatives from various partner government agencies, highlighting a strong collaborative effort to foster family development and community resilience.

The partnership formalized through this MOA reflects SPAMAST’s ongoing commitment to community development and public service, aligned with its mission of delivering relevant extension programs that respond to the needs of marginalized sectors.
The signing ceremony marks the beginning of a series of collaborative activities between SPAMAST and its partner agencies, aimed at delivering comprehensive services and capacity-building initiatives for families in the region.
