SPAMAST held a heartfelt recognition event to honor its 2024 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professional passer at the SPAMAST Auditorium on November 4,2024. The event, organized by the Institute of Fisheries and Marine Sciences under the leadership of Dean Prof. John Paul Pacyao, brought together faculty, students, and the family members of the successful examinees to celebrate this milestone achievement.
SPAMAST President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, delivered an inspiring message, commending the passers on their hard work and dedication. Dr. Bontia emphasized the institution’s commitment to supporting students as they work towards professional excellence, especially in fields that play a crucial role in sustainable development and community impact, such as fisheries.
Ms. Lesie Rose Rodriguez, RFP, a technical staff member from the Project Management and Evaluation Unit of BFAR XI, was the event’s guest speaker. Her speech provided insights into the opportunities and responsibilities awaiting the new fisheries professionals.
During the ceremony, the passer expressed gratitude to SPAMAST and encouraged current students, sharing how the institution’s support and guidance played a significant role in their success. The students of Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BSF), attended the event, making it a meaningful and memorable celebration for all.
