In a powerful observance of Road Safety Month, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), in collaboration with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), rallied its community through two transformative initiatives aimed at instilling a culture of safe, ethical driving on May 26, 2025. Held at the SPAMAST Auditorium and initiated by the Office of the Student Services (OSS) and the Administrative Division, the event launched Project SAFE: Schools’ Advocacy for Fair and Ethical Road Practices, drawing an engaged crowd of external attendees, students, and faculty. LTO Head π‘©π’†π’π’‹π’‚π’Žπ’Šπ’ π‘¨π’π’•π’π’π’Šπ’ 𝑱𝒓. delivered an emphatic message on the urgency of responsible mobility, emphasizing that road safety is β€œa shared commitment that begins with awareness and grows through action.”

Reinforcing this message were vital contributions from 𝑷𝑬𝑴𝑺 π‘΅π’ŠΓ±π’ π‘²π’‰π’‚π’…π’šπ’‚π’‡π’† 𝑻. π‘Ίπ’‚π’π’Šπ’Žπ’‚π’Žπ’‚ of the Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), and 𝑷π‘ͺ𝑴𝑺 π‘½π’Šπ’Žπ’Žπ’š 𝑺. π‘¨π’–π’•π’†π’π’„π’Šπ’, who spoke on the role of community vigilance, discipline, and youth education in curbing road incidents. Their discussions, both grounded in field expertise and charged with real-world relevance, highlighted the intersection of policy enforcement and citizen empowerment. The event’s energy peaked with live safety demonstrations, discussions on ethical vehicular conduct, and the collective call to β€œdrive change”—a phrase that reverberated throughout the SPAMAST auditorium, leaving a lasting impression on participants.
