Dr. Ariel E. San Jose, representing the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), has been recognized as a finalist for the 2024 Julian A. Banzon Medal. The award, given by the Department of Science and Technology’s National Academy of Science and Technology (DOST-NAST), honors exceptional achievements in applied research held at Bicutan, Taguig City on September 23, 2024.

Dr. San Joseโ€™s research, titled “Academic Integrity of Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Mixed Method Analysis,” was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Paper Presentation category. The award ceremony took place at the Philippine Scientist Heritage Center, within the DOST Compound in Bicutan, Taguig City. Dr. San Joseโ€™s recognition underscores his dedication to academic excellence and his commitment to fostering integrity in education, particularly during the global health crisis.
