
The rhythm of culture, the colors of unity, and the spirit of community filled the air as the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) joined the 18th Gaginaway Festival on November 5, 2025, in Malita, Davao Occidental.
Held under the theme of “sharing and unity”—the very essence of the indigenous word “Gaginaway”—the festival brought together people from different walks of life and celebrated the rich traditions of the Tagakaulo, Blaan, Manobo tribes, and Muslim community.
The night sky of Malita, Davao Occidental glowed with the brilliance of the full moon as the rhythmic beating of the Agong echoed through the town—signaling the start of the 18th Gaginaway Festival on November 5, 2025.
SPAMAST proudly took part in the opening program, standing in solidarity with the local government and the people of Davao Occidental in honoring their roots and promoting intercultural understanding.
From cultural dances, acts, and tribal music to colorful displays of artistry, the Gaginaway Festival once again became a vibrant reminder that unity in diversity is the true strength of Davao Occidental.
As the Agong resounded—a symbol of peace and unity—and the torches illuminated the night, SPAMAST stood in solidarity with the people of Davao Occidental, celebrating diversity through education, culture, and shared purpose.🌿✨
