In a heartfelt celebration marked by tradition, symbolism, and the promise of new beginnings, the Southern Philippines Agribusiness and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) held its 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑹𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒐𝒑 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 for the Graduating Class of 2025. The event unfolded with ceremonial precision, opening with a warm welcome from Vice President Johanna B. Ugsang and a stirring invocation by Shania M. Gumallawe, BSED-English. Adding gravitas to the occasion, OSS Director Dr. Aldwin T. Miranda unveiled the rich significance of the academic ring—a shining emblem of commitment, excellence, and the academic journey soon to culminate in graduation.
The solemn rite reached its crescendo with SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia conferring the confirmation and personally leading the ring bestowal and hop ritual—a defining moment symbolizing each student’s readiness to step into the world with confidence and competence. In an inspiring address, Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg, VPAA, reminded the students that their ring is not merely jewelry, but a covenant—a silent vow to honor truth, pursue wisdom, and serve society. A moving message from guest speaker Cleonante A. Capiloyan, RSW, a proud SPAMAST alumnus and San Miguel Global Power’s Business Affairs and Communication Assistant, underscored the transformative power of dreams coupled with discipline.
Student leaders Emann Blanco and Michael Jay Lumayas took the stage to echo loyalty and gratitude, leading the Pledge of Commitment and delivering the Student’s Response with clarity and fervor. The emotional peak came as the entire Graduating Class of 2025 offered a song tribute, “You’ll Be in My Heart,” to their families—silent heroes of their academic journey. Closing remarks from Reimare B. Encarnacion ushered in the SPAMAST Hymn and the ceremonial recessional. Yet the celebration didn’t end there. As laughter echoed through “Home Sweet Home” at the after-party, the spirit of unity, achievement, and hope marked this event as a cornerstone in every graduate’s heart.
