In line with the National Women’s Month 2025 celebration, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) successfully conducted Online Life Coaching Sessions and a Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere Awareness Campaign on March 19, 2025, via Zoom.
The Online Life Coaching Sessions featured two esteemed resource speakers. Ms. Jessabelle Grace L. Firmalino delivered an insightful discussion on Finding Passion and Purpose: Designing a Fulfilling Life, encouraging participants to pursue meaningful goals. Meanwhile, Ms. Sittie Aquizah A. Dumarpa shared her expertise on Building Resilience: Overcoming Challenges, equipping attendees with strategies to navigate adversities.
In a parallel effort to raise awareness on gender rights and legal protections, the Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere Awareness Campaign featured Atty. John Victor B. Milana as the keynote speaker. He provided a comprehensive discussion on Republic Act 9710, also known as the Magna Carta for Women, emphasizing women’s rights and gender equality. Additionally, he tackled Republic Act 11596, an act prohibiting the practice of child marriage, highlighting the legal repercussions and societal impact of early marriages.
The event underscored SPAMAST’s commitment to promoting gender empowerment and social awareness among its students and stakeholders. Participants gained valuable insights and tools for personal growth and advocacy through these sessions, reinforcing the institution’s role in fostering an inclusive and informed academic community.
