SPAMAST Hosts 3rd Davao Occidental Multidisciplinary Research Conference

SPAMAST successfully hosted the Third Davao Occidental Multidisciplinary Research Conference on February 5, 2025, at the Auditorium, Malita campus. This annual event is a key highlight of the weeklong celebration of SPAMAST’s Founding Anniversary, which runs from February 1 to 8, 2025.

The research conference showcased groundbreaking studies and innovative solutions across two thematic areas: (𝟭) 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰, 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗔𝗡𝗥𝗥), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝟮) 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. Academics and researchers from various institutions participated in the event, presenting their findings to a distinguished panel of experts and peers.

This conference invited plenary speakers and a panel of evaluators with distinguished distinctions for research, further enriching the discussions and assessments of the presented studies.

In the Agriculture, Aquatic, Natural Resources, and Resilience (AANRR) category, the winners were:

  • 1st Place: Prof. Kher Dave H. Doños
  • 2nd Place: Prof. Leonel P. Lumogdang
  • 3rd Place: Prof. Leo C. Radores

Meanwhile, in the Social, Cultural Development, and Health and Wellness category, the top researchers were:

  • 1st Place: Dr. Grace D. Buencillo
  • 2nd Place: Prof. Imelda T. Lauron
  • 3rd Place: Ms. Mariane Claire G. Tindoy

The event served as a platform for scholars to exchange insights and collaborate on solutions contributing to sustainable development in Davao Occidental and beyond.
