In celebration of the 2026 Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Southern Philippines Agri-Business, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) conducted CARAVAN 2026 on September 17, 2026, at the SPAMAST Founder’s Hall, providing employees with convenient access to financial institutions and essential government services within the workplace.
Organized through the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), the activity aimed to promote employee welfare and convenience by bringing various financial products, programs, and government services directly to SPAMAST officials and employees.
Participating financial institutions included BDO, Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), City Savings Bank, EastWest Bank, China Bank, and Tagum Cooperative. Government service providers such as PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG Fund also participated in the caravan.
Throughout the activity, representatives from the participating institutions provided information, assistance, and guidance on their respective programs, services, and requirements. Employees were given the opportunity to inquire about available financial services and government benefits and to process or initiate transactions subject to the policies and requirements of the concerned institutions.
The CARAVAN 2026 underscored SPAMAST’s commitment to creating a supportive workplace where public servants are given greater access to services that contribute to their welfare, convenience, and well-being. The initiative also complemented the broader celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, which recognizes the dedication and contribution of government employees in serving the Filipino people.
Through this activity, SPAMAST advances Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting employee welfare and access to financial services, while contributing to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through responsive, accessible, and people-centered public service. The participation of various financial institutions and government agencies also highlights SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrating the value of collaboration among public institutions and external partners in bringing essential services closer to government employees and strengthening collective efforts toward sustainable development.
