SPAMAST Recognition Day Celebrates Excellence and Inspires Graduates to Lead with Humility, Resilience, and Purpose

A celebration of excellence, perseverance, and new beginnings filled the Malita ABC Gym as the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) held its Recognition Day on July 8, 2026. The ceremony

honored the remarkable academic achievements of the graduating class while serving as a meaningful send-off as they prepare to embrace the opportunities and challenges of their professional journeys.

The ceremony featured an inspiring message from Guest Speaker Dr. Silvano Camillo Jr., Public Schools District Supervisor of the Malita District, Schools Division of Davao Occidental. He encouraged the graduates to carry humility, integrity, and resourcefulness as they step into the next chapter of their lives, emphasizing that success is measured not only by accomplishments but also by one’s character and ability to adapt in the face of challenges.

SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette B. Bontia likewise inspired the graduates by highlighting the importance of resilience and purpose. She urged them to transform every challenge into an opportunity for growth and to become beacons of hope in their families, workplaces, and communities. She reminded the graduates that their education equips them not only for successful careers but also to make meaningful contributions to society through compassionate and responsible leadership.

The Recognition Day ceremony celebrated the graduates’ dedication, determination, and commitment to academic excellence. It also served as a reminder that the knowledge, skills, and values they acqu

ired during their years at SPAMAST will guide them as they pursue their aspirations and contribute to nation-building.

Parents, family members, faculty, staff, and friends gathered to witness this significant milestone, sharing in the pride and joy of the graduating class. As the graduates received their awards and recognition, they were reminded that this achievement marks not the end of their journey but the beginning of new opportunities to create meaningful impact in their chosen fields and communities.

With the guidance and inspiration shared by Dr. Camillo and Dr. Bontia, the SPAMAST Class of 2026 leaves the institution equipped with competence, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose. As they move forward, they carry the ideals of excellence, resilience, and service that define a true SPAMAST graduate.

Through its commitment to recognizing academic excellence and preparing graduates to become competent, ethical, and socially responsible professionals, SPAMAST continues to advance Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by promoting inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by developing graduates who are ready to contribute productively to the workforce and sustainable national development.
