SPAMAST Women Join Malita’s National Women’s Month Culmination

Women employees from the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) actively participated in the opening program of the municipal-wide celebration of National Women’s Month, highlighted by the Malita Empowered Organization of Women Culmination held at the Malita Gymnasium on March 24,2026.

Carrying the theme, “Lead like babaylans, Filipinas!”, the event gathered women leaders, advocates, and stakeholders from across the municipality to celebrate women’s empowerment and leadership. The program commenced with a solemn Holy Mass, followed by the formal opening ceremony.

Inspirational messages were delivered by distinguished and empowered women from Malita and across Davao Occidental, emphasizing the vital role of women in community development, leadership, and nation-building. Their messages encouraged participants to embrace their strength, heritage, and capacity to lead with purpose—mirroring the resilience and wisdom of the babaylans.

The participation of SPAMAST women employees reflects the institution’s continued commitment to gender equality and inclusive development, supporting initiatives that uplift and empower women in the community.

This activity contributes to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, promoting women’s empowerment and equal opportunities for all.
