SPAMAST Honors September 2024 LEPT Passers in Grand Recognition Ceremony

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) held a prestigious recognition ceremony on January 31, 2025, to honor the exceptional achievements of its September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) passers. With the theme “𝙎𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙨: 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜,” the event gathered faculty, administrators, and students at the SPAMAST Auditorium to pay tribute to the institution’s new batch of licensed educators.

Opening the ceremony, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg extended her heartfelt congratulations to the passers, emphasizing the significance of perseverance and dedication in the teaching profession. “Your success today is not just a testament to your hard work but also to the unwavering support of your mentors, families, and the SPAMAST community,” Dr. Llameg stated. She encouraged the honorees to embrace their new role as educators and to continuously strive for excellence in shaping future generations.

Highlighting the event was an inspirational message from Mr. Aaron Joseph A. Paña, who secured the 9th spot nationwide in the September 2024 LEPT. Sharing his journey of rigorous preparation and self-discipline, Paña expressed gratitude to his professors and peers who played a crucial role in his achievement. “This recognition is not just mine—it is a collective victory of our school, our mentors, and our families. Let this be a reminder that with resilience and faith, we can all reach great heights,” he said, urging fellow passers to remain committed to their mission as educators.

In her message, SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia lauded the outstanding performance of the LEPT passers and reinforced the institution’s commitment to academic excellence. “Teaching is not merely a profession—it is a vocation that requires passion, integrity, and continuous learning. As you step into the field of education, remember that the true essence of success lies in your ability to inspire and shape young minds,” Dr. Bontia remarked. She further assured the graduates of SPAMAST’s unwavering support in their professional journey, highlighting upcoming initiatives aimed at strengthening teacher education programs.

The ceremony concluded with an uplifting message from Dr. Fe T. Canoy, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, who expressed her pride in the honorees. “This milestone is only the beginning. May you carry the values instilled in you at SPAMAST and use your knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society,” Dr. Canoy stated. She urged the new educators to remain lifelong learners and advocates of quality education.

The celebration ended with a photo opportunity and an early dinner, allowing attendees to commemorate this significant achievement together.
