On September 20, 2024, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) held the closing ceremony for the Level 1 Survey Visit and Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) for its academic programs, conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) virtual accreditation, at the SPAMAST Lecture Hall, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The event marked the end of a rigorous five-day evaluation of various academic programs. Coordinators of the accreditation, including Dr. Erwin P. Lacanlale, overall coordinator, Dr. Erwin D. Dumagpi, Level I Coordinator, and Dr. Mellany A. Tolentino, PSV Coordinator, shared their impressions on the virtual survey visit. They commended the active participation and cooperation of the SPAMAST Accreditation Task Force, who efficiently addressed the concerns raised by the accreditors throughout the process.
During the closing ceremony, accreditors expressed their appreciation for the efforts of SPAMAST in ensuring a smooth and comprehensive survey. They highlighted the commendable work of the task force in maintaining a high level of organization and collaboration, which contributed to the overall success of the visit. Key findings and the results of the evaluation were presented, providing insights into the strengths and areas for improvement of the programs that underwent accreditation.
SPAMAST President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, delivered a statement of commitment on behalf of the institution. She reaffirmed SPAMAST’s dedication to ensuring quality education and pledged to continue providing the necessary administrative support for the continuous improvement of all academic programs.
The event concluded with formal closing remarks by Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, who thanked all the accreditors, and area leaders for their hard work and contributions to the successful completion of the survey visits.
Programs being visited were: Level 1 for BPA, BEED, BTLED, BSED major in English, BSAIS, BSA major in Horticulture, BSES, and BSABE. PSV for BSSW, BSC, BSDC, and MBA major in Agri-Business Management.
