The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) actively participated in the 17th Gaginaway Festival and the 87th Araw ng Malita, held from November 15 to 17, 2024 in Malita, Davao Occidental. The festive celebration showcased Malita’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and dynamic community spirit.
The event, which spanned three days, featured a variety of activities including cultural presentations, parades, sports competitions, and trade fairs, with SPAMAST making significant contributions to the success of the celebration. Students, faculty, and staff from SPAMAST enthusiastically joined the festivities, highlighting the institution’s commitment to community engagement and cultural preservation.
SPAMAST’s participation underscored its role as a community partner, fostering collaboration and solidarity with local stakeholders. The institution’s booth, which featured innovative agricultural and marine products, attracted numerous visitors, while students performed cultural dances that celebrated the diversity of the region.
