In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, employees of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) conducted a coastal and campus clean-up drive early this morning, September 18, 2024. The event, held under the theme of “Linggo ng Malasakit sa Kalikasan,” kicked off promptly at 5:30 a.m.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Davao Occidental collaborated with SPAMAST for the clean-up drive as part of the upcoming celebration of the International Coastal Clean-Up Drive, scheduled for September 21, 2024. The initiative also saw participation from various government agencies across Davao Occidental, highlighting the joint effort to preserve local coastlines and promote environmental awareness.

The initiative reflects the spirit of environmental stewardship as part of the nationwide celebration, which emphasizes care for the environment. SPAMAST employees gathered to clean and maintain not only the campus grounds but also nearby coastal areas, contributing to the broader goal of preserving natural resources and promoting sustainable practices.
