On September 26, 2024, at the SPAMAST Grounds in Malita, Davao Occidental, the Reception Rites were conducted, formally inducting the 76 BS Criminology Interns of the “Sinag Talas” Class 2025-03. This ceremony marked a key milestone in their criminology training, symbolizing their readiness for the challenges ahead.
The event, organized under the leadership of Dr. Jonel Mark Sarno, Chairman of the BS Criminology program, received strong support from faculty members. Representatives from the Malita Fire Station, Malita Municipal Police, Coast Guard Station Davao Occidental, and Disaster Risk Rescue teams also attended the ceremony, underscoring the importance of collaboration in the field of criminology.
A standout part of the day was the rigorous physical drills performed by the interns. These exercises are vital for developing the skills needed for careers in criminology, particularly in law enforcement, public safety, and disaster management.
