The Extension Services Office of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) successfully held its Final Stakeholders Consultation for the revision of the SPAMAST Extension Agenda 2025–2029 on May 14, 2025, at the SPAMAST Lecture Hall.
The event began with a warm welcome address from Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg, Vice President for Academic Affairs, followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, SUC President, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in crafting an inclusive and community-driven extension agenda. Mr. Kher Dave H. Doños, Director of the Extension Services Office, presented the proposed extension agenda, highlighting its goals, key priority areas, and the need for stakeholder inputs to ensure its relevance to regional needs.
The Extension staff facilitated the activity and was moderated by Mr. Dexter Neil Guden, Extension Coordinator, who guided the discussions and engagement throughout the consultation. The event served as a venue for dialogue and feedback, enabling participants to share their perspectives, suggest strategies, and align institutional efforts with sectoral and community priorities. It demonstrated SPAMAST’s commitment to participatory governance and proactive partnerships with key development actors.
A diverse group of stakeholders participated in the consultation, including representatives from both government and non-government agencies in Davao Occidental. Among them were the NCIP, PAGRO, TESDA, DAR, PFO, DICT, DOST, PNP, DepEd, PENRO, PSWDO, DTI, DOLE, DILG, Philippine Army, San Miguel Global Corporation, and the SSG of SPAMAST Malita.
Their presence and active involvement reinforced the collaborative spirit behind the extension agenda, aiming to empower communities and advance inclusive development in the province and in the institution for the year 2025 to 2029.
