PSA Initiates Consultative Meeting with SPAMAST on National ID Authentication Service

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), through its Central and Regional Offices, initiated a consultative meeting with the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) to discuss the implementation of the National ID Authentication Service. The meeting was held on May 21, 2025, at the SPAMAST Administrative Building in Malita, Davao Occidental.

The initiative is part of the PSA’s continuing efforts to expand the adoption of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) across various sectors, including higher education institutions. The National ID Authentication Service aims to streamline identity verification processes and improve service delivery through secure and efficient digital authentication.

Representing SPAMAST during the meeting were Dr. Janette Octura, Chief Administrative Officer; Dr. Arneda Jean Gonzales, Director for Management and Information System; and Ms. Jamaica Lea G. Elemento, Information System Analyst. The SPAMAST team expressed its openness to the proposed integration and discussed possible applications of the service within the institution’s administrative systems.

The PSA conveyed its optimism that the adoption of the National ID Authentication Service will play a significant role in enhancing administrative efficiency, strengthening identity security, and promoting seamless public service delivery.
