This momentous occasion highlighted the department’s unwavering commitment to preparing future-ready educators. To accommodate the venue’s limited capacity, the ceremony was thoughtfully divided into two sessions—morning and afternoon.

The program commenced with the arrival of participants and the preliminaries that set an inspiring tone for the day. Dr. Karen E. Cabalquinto, the Dean of the ITEIT, delivered a warm welcome address, highlighting the significance of the event and its role in cultivating the growth of pre-service teachers. The endorsement of candidates for teaching internships followed, marking a substantial moment in the academic journey of the aspiring educators.

A key moment in the program was the confirmation of candidates for teaching internships. Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, SPAMAST President, led the morning session, while Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, took charge of the afternoon session. Both leaders delivered inspiring messages, urging the pre-service teachers to approach their roles with passion, integrity, and a strong sense of dedication.

The ceremony also featured symbolic pinning, a meaningful tradition that signifies the readiness and commitment of aspiring teachers to the teaching profession. Reflections on growth and learning throughout their academic journey were shared, offering inspiration to all attendees. A prayer for the pre-service teachers was led, seeking Divine Guidance for their future endeavors.

A special performance in honor of the parents of the pre-service teachers was offered during the ceremony. A touching song was performed, and gifts were presented as a symbol of gratitude for their continuous support. Some were moved to tears during the heartfelt moment.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Fe T. Canoy, the Director for Curriculum and Instruction, whose words of wisdom reinforced the importance of the teaching profession and its impact on the community. The event culminated with a photo opportunity, capturing the joyous and momentous occasion.

The 8th Pinning Ceremony stands as a testament to SPAMAST’s unwavering commitment to excellence in education and the formation of skilled, passionate educators. As these aspiring educators step their feet on the stepping stones of their teaching journeys, SPAMAST remains steadfast in its mission to shape a brighter tomorrow for the community and beyond.
