Commitment Rewarded: Sandie Aradani’s Rise to SPAMAST’s Most Outstanding Employee

Dedication, perseverance, and commitment to service marked the career of Mr. Sandie O. Aradani, who was honored as the Most Outstanding Employee during the prestigious Gabi ng Parangal at Pagkilala on February 6, 2025. The event was part of the 43rd Founding Anniversary celebration of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), held at the Auditorium in SPAMAST, Malita, Davao Occidental.

Mr. Aradani, a loyal SPAMAST employee for 26 years, began his journey as a Clerk in 1998, immediately after graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business, major in Agri-Business Management, from SPAMAST. Over the years, he proved his dedication to public service, initially working in the Accounting Office on employee payrolls before transferring to Student Accounts. His diligence and competence led him to various roles, from Administrative Aide IV in 2007 to Administrative Assistant II, and now as the Human Resource Officer II.

Like many professionals who devote their lives to their careers, Mr. Aradani experienced moments of contemplation. As he reached his 25th year of service, he considered early retirement, realizing that he had spent most of his life confined within office walls. However, he overcame this phase, drawing motivation from a revitalized work environment and supportive colleagues. “Nanarbaho gani ko ug tarung nga dili pa gwapo among opisina,” he remarked, emphasizing his unwavering work ethic even during challenging times.

A man of discipline and foresight, Mr. Aradani values time management, ensuring that all his tasks are well-planned and executed ahead of deadlines. Given the sensitive nature of his work—handling permanent employee records, appointments, payroll monitoring, and leave credits—he maintains a meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and efficiency. “Being busy inspires me, and I hate cramming,” he shared.

Receiving the Most Outstanding Employee award was a humbling experience for him. Initially questioning why he was chosen among many deserving employees, he ultimately felt grateful that SPAMAST recognized his hard work and dedication. His deep connection to his job was evident when he admitted missing his office during long institutional breaks.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Aradani has also invested in his future. In 2025, he secured an agricultural property with coconut and mango trees, providing him with an additional source of livelihood. He attributes this wise decision to his former professor, Prof. Ricardo Mamale, who encouraged him to start investing early despite having a modest salary. With sound financial advice, he successfully allocated funds for his future while remaining committed to his career.

Mr. Aradani’s journey at SPAMAST is a testament to the value of hard work, resilience, and vision. His recognition as the Most Outstanding Employee serves as an inspiration to all, proving that dedication and passion for service truly make a lasting impact. (Sheena Love P. Estilloso)
