MALITA, DAVAO OCCIDENTAL — July 14, 2025 | A landmark partnership was sealed today between the Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center XI (ATI-RTC XI) and Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to launch the School-On-the-Air (SOA) on Dairy Buffalo Production. The agreement, signed at the SPAMAST Administrative Building, will utilize SPAMAST Radio 96.7 FM to broadcast the educational program every Tuesday and Friday from July 18 to September 30, 2025, targeting farming communities in Davao Occidental and Davao del Sur. The initiative aims to bring timely, accessible, and science-based agricultural knowledge straight to the radios and hearts of Filipino farmers.
In a program marked with warmth and shared vision, SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia and ATI Center Director Alicia Rose D. Nebreja, represented by Ms. Lucille B. Camarines and supported by Ms. Cristin Mesario and Ms. Mohanie Solaiman, affirmed the power of media to transform agriculture. “This collaboration signifies a bridge between technology and the tillers of our land,” Bontia declared in her message. With ATI responsible for crafting broadcast content and managing livestreams, and SPAMAST Radio amplifying the signal and producing broadcast plugs, the alliance underscores a shared, non-monetary commitment to educational empowerment and rural development.
The ceremonial signing, hosted by BSDC Program Head Shawn Medina and concluded by BSA Program Head Eldum L. Limao, symbolized more than an agreement—it heralded a mission. The broadcast, although brief at one hour per session, aims to plant lifelong seeds of knowledge among livestock farmers, future-proofing their livelihoods. As the airwaves carry wisdom to distant barangays, the partnership sets a precedent for educational synergy rooted in purpose, professionalism, and patriotism.
