The Southern Philippines Agri-business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology joined the National Valuation Training for the RAISE Program on September 8–12, 2025, at Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, represented by the project leader, Dr. Grace D. Buencillo. The training was designed to increase the capability of technology transfer officers in comprehending and putting into practice the ideas and techniques of the value of technology as well as to facilitate the successful commercialization of technologies. The activity also emphasized the importance of valuation in making informed decisions in technology transfer, fostering partnerships, and maximizing the impact of publicly funded R&D.
The result of the National Valuation Training is highly beneficial for strengthening the procedures of technology commercialization in SPAMAST. It equips the institution with the necessary knowledge and skills to properly assess the value of technologies, ensuring fair and strategic decision-making in their utilization and transfer. This helps SPAMAST improve its ability to successfully sell new ideas, leading to lasting growth and a bigger positive effect on the community.
