Brimming with pride and excellence, students from the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) – Institute of Teacher Education and Information Technology (ITEIT) clinched major victories at the prestigious 𝑭𝑻𝑹𝑪 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 2, held at the CAP Auditorium in Davao City last April 25, 2025. Fourth-year BEED student Rommel D. Tayao soared to the Overall 1st Runner-Up spot, while Zap Franz Dominic G. Baclay, a BSED Science senior, emerged as one of the Top 10 qualifiers. Third-year BEED student Clydjojemae L. Erum also delivered a remarkable performance, representing SPAMAST with grit and heart among more than 200 competing education students from across the region. Spearheaded by Ms. Jona Jean Delos Santos, the students’ victory underscores the institute’s unwavering commitment to cultivating academic excellence and future-ready educators.
More than a mere contest, the Battle of the Brains served as a vibrant arena for knowledge, camaraderie, and inspiration. Tayao, Baclay, and Erum’s reflections revealed the true spirit behind their triumph: perseverance, teamwork, and a thirst for learning. Their mentor, Ms. Delos Santos, praised their discipline and resilience, framing their success as a testament to what dedication can achieve.
As flashes of cameras captured their moment of glory, SPAMAST’s rising scholars not only celebrated their medals but also carried home a stronger conviction to ignite minds and inspire futures—proving once again that SPAMAST is a cradle where champions are born.
