Reaffirming its standing as a center of academic excellence in the region, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) has been strongly recommended for the maintenance of its ISO 9001:2015 certification by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. on September 5, 2025.
The audit was led by Dr. Catherine Talao-Sigua and Mr. Gilmore Rivera, who conducted a comprehensive evaluation of SPAMAST’s instructional, student, and administrative services. The surveillance visit specifically assessed the quality management system of key programs such as the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business, and the Master of Science in Fisheries.
In addition, student support services and administrative operations were carefully reviewed, highlighting SPAMAST’s holistic approach to quality assurance and its commitment to meeting international standards.
The strong recommendation for certification maintenance is a milestone achievement that affirms SPAMAST’s dedication to continuous quality improvement, efficient governance, and the pursuit of excellence in providing globally competitive education.
