
As part of Part 1 of the Culmination Activity of its 44th Founding Anniversary, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) solemnly conducted a Laying of Flowers and Ceremonial March at the Founder’s Monument at exactly 7:00 a.m. on February 8, 2026.
The activity honored the enduring legacy of the late Assemblyman Benjamin V. Bautista Sr., the visionary leader and founder of SPAMAST, whose commitment to accessible and quality education laid the foundation for what has become a leading institution in agri-business, marine, and aquatic sciences in the region.
SPAMAST officials, faculty and staff, students, and invited guests gathered in quiet reverence as floral offerings were laid at the monument, symbolizing gratitude, remembrance, and respect for the institution’s roots. This was followed by a dedicated ceremonial march, reflecting unity and collective pride in the values and mission imparted by the founder.
The solemn gathering set a reflective and meaningful tone for the culmination of the anniversary celebration, reminding the SPAMAST community that the institution’s milestones are deeply anchored in the vision and sacrifice of its founder. The activity also served as a moment of renewal, inspiring the academic community to continue upholding excellence, service, and innovation in education.
