“Tulay ang Pagbasa, sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa”

SPAMAST officially opened its Bookfair on November 24, 2025, at the SPAMAST Lecture Hall, Malita, Davao Occidental, in celebration of the 91st National Book Week. With the national theme “Tulay ang Pagbasa, sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa,” the event highlights the vital role of reading in nurturing knowledge, empowerment, and hope among learners and communities.

The opening ceremony gathered SPAMAST key officials led by College President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, together with faculty members, students, library personnel, and invited book exhibitors. The activity aims to promote literacy, encourage love for reading, and provide access to a wide range of learning resources that support academic growth and personal development.

The Bookfair will run until November 27, 2025, offering the SPAMAST community opportunities to explore various educational materials, textbooks, references, and contemporary works from participating exhibitors.

The SPAMAST Bookfair reinforces the institution’s commitment to advancing Quality Education (SDG 4) by promoting literacy and expanding access to diverse learning resources. It also supports Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) by ensuring that students from all backgrounds have equal opportunities to explore educational materials that enhance their academic growth. Moreover, the participation of various exhibitors highlights the value of Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17), strengthening collaboration among stakeholders in fostering a more informed, empowered, and hopeful community.
