Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) actively participated in the 39th Annual National Conference and General Assembly of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, held on March 24–26, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
The three-day gathering brought together higher education leaders, quality assurance practitioners, and academic stakeholders from across the country to discuss innovations, trends, and best practices in accreditation and institutional development.
Representing SPAMAST were key officials led by College President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia. She was joined by Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Development Extension Dr. Edelyn S. Albiso, Director for Research Dr. Grace D. Buencillo, Director for Internationalization and External Linkages Dr. Arneda Jean Gonzales, and Director for Quality Assurance Dr. Jovelyn L. Franca.
The conference served as a vital platform for SPAMAST officials to engage in meaningful discussions, benchmarking activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at strengthening institutional quality standards and aligning with national and global accreditation frameworks.
Through active participation in the assembly, SPAMAST continues to reaffirm its dedication to delivering quality education, fostering innovation, and enhancing its academic programs to meet the evolving demands of higher education.
This engagement underscores SPAMAST’s contribution to advancing quality education and institutional excellence, in support of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
