During the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, August 5, 2024 at SPAMAST, Malita, Davao Occidental. SPAMAST employees donned ASEAN-inspired attire, symbolizing the rich and diverse cultures of the member countries. This event formally opened the institution’s ASEAN Celebration.
The celebration is part of the broader commemoration of ASEAN Day, which is observed annually on August 8. This day marks the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 1967, following the signing of the ASEAN Declaration, also known as the Bangkok Declaration.
