SPAMAST Joins the YSEALI Cyberbayanihan Summit 2025

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) proudly participated in the YSEALI Cyberbayanihan Summit 2025 held from October 17–19, 2025, at the Lyceum of the Philippines Davao. Representing SPAMAST were Mr. Dandy U. Dalina as one of the fellows mentored by experts and facilitators dedicated to promoting innovation, development, and digital resilience across sectors,  together with Prof. Elizabeth Joy Quijano, who served as part of the organizing team and is an active member of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI).

The three-day summit was organized by the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, YSEALI Philippines, and YSEALI Amplify 9.0, in partnership with PLDT, Smart Communications, Inc., Lyceum of the Philippines Davao, and the United States Government Alumni Association Davao.

The event brought together young leaders and innovators from across the country to discuss and collaborate on digital citizenship, cybersecurity, and online civic engagement. It also aimed to strengthen digital leadership and community resilience through technology-driven initiatives that promote responsible online participation and cyber volunteerism.

SPAMAST’s involvement in the YSEALI Cyberbayanihan Summit 2025 reflects its continued commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and global engagement, in line with the institution’s mission to nurture globally competitive and socially responsible leaders.

Their involvement also reflects the institution’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions)—by promoting informed, responsible, and ethical digital engagement within communities.
