Making Waves for a Cleaner Coastline, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) participated in a coastal clean-up activity on September 7, 2025, at the SPAMAST Beach, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The event was organized in line with the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) and the 40th Anniversary of the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) with the theme: “40 years of legacy in excellent service: anchored in duty and commitment, moving forward in ensuring maritime safety and security of Davao Region.”
SPAMAST faculty, staff, and students joined other participants in supporting the initiative, which aimed to promote environmental protection and maritime safety. The coastal clean-up highlighted the importance of collective action in safeguarding marine resources while honoring the legacy of public service and commitment exemplified by the PCSA and the Philippine Coast Guard.
By taking part in the activity, SPAMAST reaffirmed its support to government-led initiatives that foster sustainability, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.
