SPAMAST Joins 2025 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) actively participated in the 2025 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) held on September 25–27, 2025, at the Abreeza Ayala Malls, Davao City. Representing SPAMAST was Dr. Edelyn S. Albiso, Vice President for Research and Extension, who showcased the institution’s continuing commitment to advancing research-based initiatives, community-responsive extension programs, and innovative practices in agriculture, fisheries, and allied fields. With the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan: Building Smart and Sustainable Communities”, the event served as a platform for academic institutions, government agencies, industry partners, and local communities to collaborate in harnessing science and technology as drivers of sustainable development and inclusive growth. SPAMAST’s participation reaffirmed its role as a strong partner in regional development, contributing not only to academic excellence but also to practical solutions that uplift local communities. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by promoting research-driven innovations that strengthen resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability in society.
