The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) JAS Extension Campus made a remarkable presence at the 15th Kap’yaan Festival, held on February 18–19, 2025, in the Municipality of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
With this year’s theme, “Ang Atong Kultura: Gasa sa Kagahapon, Bahandi sa Karon, Kinaadman sa Ugma” (Our Culture: A Gift from the Past, A Treasure of the Present, A Wisdom for the Future), the festival highlighted the town’s rich cultural heritage and natural abundance.
SPAMAST JAS Extension Campus proudly showcased a meticulously crafted float, embodying the vibrant traditions and bountiful resources of the municipality. Their artistic and cultural presentation earned them the Second Runner-Up position in the Float Competition.
The Kap’yaan Festival is an annual celebration that brings together various community sectors to honor the town’s history, culture, and progress. SPAMAST JAS Extension Campus’ participation in the event underscored their commitment to promoting local heritage and demonstrated their active engagement in community festivities.
