The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) achieved a significant victory at the Mindanao-Wide IT Olympiad 2024, organized by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Davao Region in collaboration with the Council of Deans in IT Educators Region XI. The event took place on May 10, 2024, at the Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao in Davao City.
Mr. Jay Cadungog, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student at SPAMAST, secured 1st place in the highly competitive Digital Drawing Competition. Under the mentorship of Ms. King Ressurects C. Nuevo, a dedicated faculty member of the Information Technology Department, Cadungog’s outstanding digital artwork earned him top honors among participants from thirty private colleges and state universities across Mindanao.
The Mindanao-Wide IT Olympiad 2024 brought together some of the brightest IT students from across the region, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaborative learning. The success of Jay Cadungog and his coach, Ms. Nuevo, reflects the high standards and dedication prevalent at SPAMAST, contributing to the institution’s growing reputation for academic and extracurricular excellence.
