In line with the nationwide observance of the 125𝒕𝒉 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚, the Mawaan Women Association, in partnership with the Institute of Business Management and Governance (IBMG) of SPAMAST, successfully launched the second year of its extension project titled Intrapreneurship Mobilization Optimization for Viable Enterprise (I-MOVE) Extension Project. The inaugural phase of this year’s training focused on Marketing Management, specifically highlighting Marketing Strategies, Product Development, and Labeling. The event was held at the Function Hall in Barangay Lawa, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.
The training was significantly enhanced by the presence of distinguished resource speakers: Mr. Perxie Junn Simpron from the Department of Trade and Industry discussed DTI Standards and Regulatory Requirements, specifically addressing the guidelines for packaging and product labelling for both food and non-food items.
Mr. Jesse A. Colonia conducted a Packaging and Label Design Workshop, which included practical sessions where participants created their own designs and labels for their products.
Mr. Neil Christian P. Bugawisan introduced essential Marketing Strategies and the 7Ps of the Marketing Mix. He emphasized the importance of developing a comprehensive marketing plan tailored to the participants’ products.
This training represents the first of three series in the I-MOVE Extension Project, which will also include Financial Management and Technology Demonstration Training. The primary objective of this initiative is to empower the community through capacity-building efforts, with a particular focus on equipping participants with practical skills in marketing management to enhance their product marketing strategies.
