SPAMAST Holds 2025 Pre-employment Seminar for Graduating Students

With the goal of equipping its graduating students with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the professional world, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) successfully conducted the 2025 Pre-Employment Seminar on April 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the SPAMAST Auditorium, Malita Campus. 

The seminar, themed “Level Up: Preparing for the Professional World,” was organized by the Guidance and Counseling Office under the leadership of Prof. Lalaine M. Gella, who also serves as the Director for Admission. Prof. Gella warmly welcomed the participants with her opening address, highlighting the importance of readiness, awareness, and proactive job hunting in today’s competitive job market. 

In partnership with key government agencies, the event featured resource speakers from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Davao Occidental and the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO). 

The invited speakers included Ms. Doeme Lonin M. Guinang-ALI, Labor and Employment Officer, Mr. Steven H. Villamora, Employment Technical Staff, and Mr. Stelito M. Jumaran, PESO Manager. Participants gained valuable insights from the informative sessions, which covered crucial topics such as: Labor Education for Graduating Students, Pre-Employment Seminar for Local Applicants Anti-Illegal Recruitment. 

The seminar provided a platform for students to engage with labor experts, ask questions, and receive guidance on employment opportunities, rights, and responsibilities as they transition from academia to the workforce. SPAMAST remains committed to empowering its students academically and professionally, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of their future careers.
