SPAMAST faculty members join Technology/Business Pitching Activity

As part of the project’s deliverables, the RAISE Phase 2 Project conducted a Technology/Business Pitching Activity on September 17-18, 2025, at SPAMAST Library AVR and was participated in by various faculty-researchers.
The first day of the event was filled with significant topics about the essentials of a winning business pitch, followed by a workshop on crafting an effective pitch deck. Mr. Miles Irvin Shuck, the invited resource speaker from the Department of Trade and Industry, Davao Occidental, provided prolific discussion and endowed participants with a strong hold on grasping effective pitching strategies. He also highlighted public speaking and persuasion techniques, considered key factors in doing a pitch.
Moreover, the second day of the activity was dedicated to the pitching session. Participants presented their respective technologies and provided an overview of the possible commercialization opportunities. Ms. Ellysa Puton, Trade and Industry Development Specialist Section Head, Business Development and Promotion Section, joined the bubbles together with Mr. Shuck as they carefully scrutinized each presentation and offered helpful insights to refine and improve the nature of technologies.
The program concluded with the distribution of certificates and the announcement of the best technology. Also, an act of appreciation was extended to the invited individuals for gracing the activity and contributing their services and expertise to achieve the activity’s goals. This initiative underscores the commitment of SPAMAST to innovative and collaborative actions. Truly, ideas can transform into outputs and extend benefits to the community.
