SPAMAST Empowers Student Leaders with Life-Saving Skills in Disaster Preparedness and Fire Prevention Training

The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Davao Occidental, Emergency Operations Center in Malita, Responders Organization for Public Emergencies Volunteer, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), successfully conducted the School Responders Training for Student Leaders from November 8 to 10, 2024, at the SPAMAST Malita Campus, Davao Occidental.

Facilitated by the Medical and Dental Office, the training aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and fire prevention awareness among student leaders.

The three-day program equipped participants with critical knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the school community. Interactive workshops, hands-on demonstrations, and expert lectures formed part of the comprehensive training.

This initiative underscores SPAMAST’s commitment to fostering leadership and resilience among its students, preparing them to act as first responders in times of crisis.
