The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) capped the year with a vibrant celebration for its employees on December 18, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM. Themed around gala and Broadway-inspired attire, the event brought together academic and administrative staff in a festive atmosphere of camaraderie and holiday cheer.
Highlighting the evening was the Music Video Contest, which featured a documentary of the employees’ Christmas outreach activity titled “From the Heart of SPAMAST.” The presentation showcased the collective spirit and dedication of staff in giving back to the community. Adding to the festivities, a caroling competition entertained attendees, while the Best Dress Awards recognized outstanding ensembles among male, female, and LGBTQ participants.
Employees also received noche buena packages and participated in a cash raffle, with prizes ranging from PHP 500 to PHP 5,000 for the grand winner. Additionally, home appliances including electric fans, gas stoves, ovens, and other kitchen essentials were raffled, adding to the excitement of the evening.
The celebration served not only as a festive gathering but also as an opportunity to strengthen relationships among colleagues, promoting a sense of unity and shared purpose. In closing, the event reflected SPAMAST’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 5: Gender Equality, by fostering mental and emotional well-being through joyful, inclusive, and equitable employee engagement.
