The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) wrapped up its 39th Commencement Exercises with the Part 2 ceremony held in the afternoon, 1:30 pm of June 18 at the ABC Gymnasium, Malita, Davao Occidental, highlighting graduates from the Institute of Human Service and the Institute of Business Management and Governance.
Carrying the theme “From Vision to Reality: 39 Years of Cultivating Future-Ready Graduates,” the second part of the event continued the celebration of SPAMAST’s commitment to shaping competent, ethical, and service-oriented professionals.
Guest of honor and keynote speaker Director Benjamin Carillo Cutay Jr., Regional Director of the Department of Justice’s Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) for Region XI, once again addressed the graduates. In this segment, Dir. Cutay delivered a more conversational and engaging speech, encouraging the new batch of professionals to embrace community and public service as a noble pursuit, always anchored in integrity, humility, and compassion. He emphasized the value of using one’s education not only for personal success but for the betterment of society.
Representing the graduating class, Ms. Dejee Rose A. Esposo, Magna Cum Laude, from the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information System program, gave a heartfelt message. She spoke of perseverance, sacrifice, and hope, recognizing the collective effort of families, faculty, and peers in reaching this academic milestone.
The successful conclusion of the two-part commencement ceremony served as a testament to SPAMAST’s unwavering dedication to producing graduates who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also socially responsible and ready to face the future with purpose and integrity.
