The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) and the University of the Philippines Los BaΓ±os (UPLB) formalized their commitment to academic and educational cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on February 10, 2025. The signing ceremony was held at UPLB, also attended by the Bukidnon State University and Northern Samar State University, as other partners.Β
The MOU outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration between SPAMAST and UPLB, encompassing various areas such as:
- Exchange of faculty and researchers
- Exchange of students
- Conduct of collaborative research and extension projects
- Conduct of lectures, symposia, and capacity-building programs
- Exchange of academic information and materials
- Promotion of other academic cooperation as mutually agreed
SPAMAST was represented by the President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg and BSABE Faculty, Mr. Ellthon John Turtor. This partnership is expected to bring significant benefits to both SPAMAST and UPLB, fostering knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and academic excellence.
