In honor of the 125𝒕𝒉 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) administrative personnel spearheaded a meaningful community extension activity at Babac Elementary School, Barangay Kisulad, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental, on September 9, 2025. Anchored on the theme of responsive and people-centered service, the initiative embodied the spirit of public service excellence by providing support, assistance, and outreach to the local school community.
The program showcased the synergy between SPAMAST and the host barangay as personnel carried out activities designed to benefit both learners and teachers of Babac Elementary School. Beyond extending material support, the activity also emphasized values of compassion, solidarity, and capacity-building, which resonated deeply with the Civil Service Commission’s call for government workers to go beyond office walls and bring meaningful change to communities. Teachers and residents expressed gratitude, noting that the extension initiative strengthened ties between the institution and the grassroots sector it serves.
