Refocused, recharged, Renewed: SPAMAST Administrative Officers Strengthened Through Faith and Service

Malaybalay, Bukidnon – August 13–15, 2025 — The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) Administrative Officers gathered for their annual recollection themed “Refocus and Recharge” at the Monastery of Transfiguration, Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

Serving as resource person was Mr. Christopher D. Alaba, retreat facilitator and community formator, who emphasized that true leadership and authentic humanity begin with listening—listening to God, to oneself, and to the cry of the poor.

The three-day spiritual retreat opened with a session on “Entering Gratitude”, which centered on the spiritual power of silence, reflection, and scripture reading. Participants were invited to appreciate life with a grateful heart.

The second session focused on “Healing and Community Building”, guiding the leaders to rediscover their purpose, reawaken their mission, and continually seek God’s presence in their leadership journey.

In the third session, the officers reflected on “Faith and Prayer in the Life of a Leader”, highlighted by the viewing of the inspirational film Paul: Apostle of Christ. This session underscored the role of prayer and faith in leadership and personal growth.

Another key session on “Healing through Forgiveness” encouraged participants to write “The Letter I Never Sent” as a symbolic act of release and reconciliation, accompanied by scripture reading on Peter’s Restoration.

The recollection concluded with a final session on “Commitment to Gratitude and Service”, anchored on the biblical passage Philippians 4:6–9. The activity moved participants from reflection to mission, sealing their commitment to serve with humility and gratitude.

In closing, SPAMAST Administrative Officers expressed heartfelt gratitude and renewed their commitment to one another, affirming their shared mission to lead with compassion, service, and faith.
