Prof. Amelyn L. Laro has once again made history as the first and best scientist in the field of social work in the country based on AD Scientific Index 2024. Prof. Laro is a faculty of SPAMAST’s Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program and an associate member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).
Her international research publications are cited worldwide and currently, she writes as a contributor and reviewer to social science journals. In August 2024, she participated in a gender training in Netherlands.
SPAMAST is truly proud of Prof. Laro’s contributions to the field of social work not only in the country but also across the globe.
“I just do whatever I can. My mother taught me the value of discipline, hard work and humility, and I am humbled by this recognition,” Prof. Laro said.
