Presidents of State Colleges and Univesities in Region XI convened at the Higher Education Leadership Mentoring Seminar (HELMS) in Panabo City, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), to prioritize sustainability and collaboration in higher education.
Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, President of SPAMAST, joined peers from state colleges and universities in the region. Together, they signed crucial Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB), and regional institutions to advance sustainability efforts.
UPLB’s launch of the Network for Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture, under Chancellor Dr. Jenielyn T. Padrones, emphasized a commitment to environmentally-friendly practices.
Discussions at HELMS centered on disaster response management, regenerative agriculture, circular economy, and sustainable development goals. These exchanges aimed to equip leaders with actionable strategies for addressing societal challenges.
