The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) proudly welcomed the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) for the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) inspection on March 25, 2025.
This evaluation is a crucial step in the institution’s application for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for three academic programs: Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education.
Dr. Christopher Pio O. Pulido, accompanied by CHED Education Supervisors and RQAT members, led the assessment team.
The SPAMAST community, spearheaded by its President, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, warmly received the team and expressed full commitment to ensuring the institution meets CHED’s standards for academic excellence, faculty qualifications, and facility adequacy.
During the visit, the evaluation team thoroughly assessed the institution’s facilities and laboratories to determine compliance with CHED’s required standards. This assessment aimed to ensure that the learning environments and resources adequately support student education and training.
Notably, the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) program successfully secured the recommendation for the granting of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC), marking a significant milestone for SPAMAST.
The inspection served as a valuable opportunity for SPAMAST to showcase its dedication to providing high-quality education and to align its programs with CHED’s quality benchmarks. This initiative reinforces SPAMAST’s continuous pursuit of excellence in higher education, benefiting both students and the broader academic community.
