DOST Honors Outstanding Scholars as SPAMAST Reinforces Commitment to Science and Innovation

The Southern Philippines Agribusiness and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) reaffirmed its strong partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through active participation in regional initiatives that promote science, technology, and innovation. A key component of this collaboration is SPAMAST’s sustained support for DOST’s scholarship programs, consistently assisting in the promotion, facilitation, and monitoring of scholar activities to ensure that deserving students gain access to quality education and essential academic support. This commitment was further demonstrated during the 2025 In Touch with Excellence recognition ceremony, which honored DOST-SEI scholars who graduated with Latin honors across the Davao Region.

During the event, DOST-SEI recognized outstanding graduates whose academic achievements underscored the region’s growing potential in producing future scientists and innovators. SPAMAST scholar 𝑴𝒓. This continuing collaboration between SPAMAST and DOST highlights a shared mission to empower learners, strengthen research culture, and contribute to sustainable national progress. By nurturing scholars and supporting innovation-driven initiatives, the partnership aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). These efforts reinforce the institution’s dedication to shaping competent professionals who can contribute meaningfully to community development and the country’s long-term scientific advancement.
